Knitting Woman with a Cat

The sculpture is dedicated to the memory of the women who earned their living by knitting while their men was at sea or in the fields. Knitting was an important part of the economy in the poor parts of southern Halland. If you go closer to the sculpture you can see the local Gubbamönster in the sweater which is being created.
