Tuvstarr. Alabaster. H 40 cm

The name Tuvstarr to this little sitting girl figure appeared to me after it was completed. John Bauer, a Swedish artist who died tragically in a ship wreckage 100 years ago, was famous for his illustrations of fairytales.

Tuvstarr was a princess who lived in the forest under the protection of a big elk.
