Boy with a Guinea Pig

The origin of this sculpture is from my observations of grandchildren playing. This is J, somewhere between two and thre years of age. I made a marble sculpture from som rough sketches I had in my notebook. First he was playing with a Volvo car, but later in the process I decided to change it to an animal. One reason for this is that I wanted to makeit timeless. Itis no secret that I was thinking  lot of Boy with Thorn,  Spinario at the Capitolium in Rome during the process.
