It is, I am told, very unusual for sculptors, in contrast to painters, to make self-portraits. So why not try? 

I made it in clay and then transformed into plaster as you can see here. I made the bronze casting at Konstnärernas Kollektivverkstad in Nacka. The casting had some complications, and the result was 

"not exactly as I had expected". However, instead of chiselling the mishaps away, I decided to keep them. They add to the character and show some unexpected traits of me.
